Stay mindful

· Be mindful of how you are eating.


· Slow down the speed you eat and chew your food thoroughly, this will aid digestion later on and enable your body to extract more nutrition from the food.



· Be aware of how different foods make you feel both in the moment and in the following hours or days.


· Start a food diary to record your goals and reflect on your eating habits. Journaling can be a helpful tool to enable us to order our thoughts and reflect.


· Recognise what you have going on in your life. What is realistic one day might not be as realistic the next.


Buying and preparing food (and growing if you can) can be a really mindful activity, involving all the senses. Try to find fresh, local produce and have a go at that recipe you've been wanting to try.
